What exactly happens in Hocus Pocus 2?
The Sanderson Sisters won’t stay dead for long. By the end of the 1993 movie, Max Dennison, his younger sister Dani, and his classmate/love interest Allison have turned the sisters into dust. But in the next Hocus Pocus movie, three young women will bring the sisters back to life. The movie will be set in Salem, and it will show how the girls try to stop the witches.
Disney just released an exciting new trailer for the sequel that gives a sneak peek at what’s to come.
The movie was made starting in the fall of 2021, and Bette Midler confirmed on social media in January that filming was done. Adam Shankman, who made the movie “Disenchanted,” was supposed to direct the second movie, but Anne Fletcher took his place. Shankman will still be in charge of the show, though.
Shankman said in a press release, “I’m heartbroken that I won’t be able to direct my friends Bette, Sarah Jessica, and Kathy in what is sure to be a major event for Disney+ because of scheduling conflicts.” However, I couldn’t be happier to hand over the reins to Anne, whose previous work has made so many people laugh and smile. ” I’m still thankful and proud to have been an executive producer on this brilliant project with producer Lynn Harris, whom I’ve loved and admired as a coworker and friend since she helped me get the job choreographing “Boogie Nights.”
